A SAD DAY!

Today I attended the funeral of an 18 year old girl, VERY difficult.

Kimberly just graduated high school this past May and had her whole life ahead of her. But on July 5, all that changed when another vehicle crossed the centerline and hit her car head on. Her sister-in-law was also killed and her brother was seriously injured.

Kim attended the elementary school where I work so I was around her for many years, I also work with her dad. It was so pitiful to see him today, what words could be said to take the pain away.

Kim was a CHRISTIAN and how wonderful that is!

I will miss you KIMBERLY!

A Special Birthday!

Hello Everyone!

16 years ago today, I had my son Tyler.

My goodness, where does the time go. I was just reading Shelly’s post over at My Lily Eden and she was just talking about how quickly our children grow up. Part of me is sad because my baby is growing up BUT I am so proud of Tyler! He is turning into a wonderful young man and I know he has great things in his future.

He also got his drivers’ permit not long ago, looks like I am going to have to buy stock in Miss Clairol…lol.

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY TYLER!

Love,

mom

Way too many tiny pieces!

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I updated my blog. I like to read lots of other blogs but then won’t keep up with my own, makes perfect sense huh?!…lol.

I am taking a short break from trying to assemble a grill, I am wanting to scream! I should have known, “DON’T BUY THE ONE THAT REQUIRES ASSEMBLY” but I completely ignored it. I guess one reason is because it came in a box so I could get it in my car without borrowing my dad’s truck. Anyway, I am regretting it NOW. I better get back out there so I can start throwing things around again. I will keep you updated!!!

Birthday Wishes...

How is everyone?
My goodness, it is still raining here in Oklahoma. I hate to complain about it because in a few months, we will be begging for rain. I hope we see some sunshine soon!
We celebrated my mom's birthday today...
Happy Birthday Mom!
I went to see Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner's new movie, "Ghost of Girlfriend's Past."...It was great! If you get the chance, go see it girls!

Here is one of my grandma's old metal lawn chairs. Looks pretty rough right now but today I bought some paint at Lowe's, we'll see what kind of make-0ver I can give it.
Hope everyone has a wonderful, sunny Monday!

Busy Time...

School is getting really busy and hectic about now with only 3 weeks or so til summer break.

We are hosting another track meet tomorrow and the weather man is predicting an 80% chance of rain. Hopefully, for the kids...it will hold off.

I mowed the yard AGAIN this past weekend. My goodness, things are turning so green so quickly around here. I noticed some hummingbirds looking for a snack so I cleaned up the feeder and added their favorite nectar. Those little guys are amazing to watch, of course...I didn't get to photo of them, darn it!

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Blackberry Difficulties!

Okay, my son got a new Blackberry Curve and I got the hand-me-down Razor.
Anyway... last night I tried to download some songs from itunes to his phone.
Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this.
Am I just making this more difficult than it should be? Thanks,
Karen~

Terrific Tuesday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
The weather wasn't so great but we had a great time with family and food! My goodness, I ate so much but that's what happens when I cook & bake...I want to eat it all. The kids in our family are getting too old to hunt Easter eggs but when you mention putting cash
in them, they all of the sudden aren't too old after all...lol.
Signs of spring are everywhere. I was just looking around today and noticing how green everything is getting. Here are a couple of cute tea towels I got at Dollar General. I found a tutorial for making tea towel aprons over at Julie's Blog.
These would make such simple cute gifts.
Speaking of CUTE aprons, I found the LUCY apron pattern over at the Brassy Apple. You have to check it out!!!
Are these not the cutest kitties???
I found these iron cats at a flea market over the weekend. I love cats and have a few friends that do also, so I will have to think of a crafty way to put them to good use.
Also grabbed this 4 yds of adorable fabric for like $2 bucks.
